South Sherman Fire & Rescue, Junior Firefighter/EMS Program is seeking new members at the ages of 16 and 17 to learn basic skills required for Firefighting and Emergency Medical Services.
This program is designed to teach youngsters within our Community the aspects of firefighting and emergency medical services in a safe environment, and provide avenues for positive social interaction and team work within the program.
The program will give youngsters the skills to help with career options. The youngsters will also be involved in community functions such as parades, fire-prevention and other safety programs. Members will receive classroom and practical instruction in firefighting and/or Emergency Medical Services by trained or certified instructors. The program is open to anyone at the age of 16 and 17.
