In 2003 South Sherman Fire & Rescue had the opportunity to purchase its only new piece of apparatus since its establishment in 1996.
Engine 314 was designed and built by Rosenbauer with the help of General Fire Apparatus and the input of many volunteers. Originally designated Engine 34, it was changed to Engine 314 in 2008 when the district went to a three number call sign. Based on a 2004 Freightliner M2 106 chassis, Engine 314 boasts an on-board generator, SCBA seating for 4, Fire-Com communications, and a Code 3 lighting package.
This the Flagship of our fleet, and proud to have this vehicle in service!
